MAN AND REVOLUTION

WHITE MAN IN AFRICAN TWENTIETH CENTURY

The colonial times of Africa were bad for all black African people in those times and for some white people who were against how black treatment was, the evil of money and greed go its hand to many whites people who wanted to be rich and to be recognized by that time. It was an era of their own but little did they know or sense the future how it will look like and how it will shape.

It was an era of free or cheap gold, silver, iron or whatever minerals, animals for meat or tasks from specific animals like elephants and rhino, slavery mainly black people where taken to work for many white people for free. Africa was the paradise for many business people to come to and collect to and go do business abroad, for space some white people went to Africa and stayed there, it was a complete paradise for many white people by that time as it was. Many African head man, Chief, kings or queens were tricked into selling their land, due to how the many African perceived to what they were given and highly valued the small simple things they were given they gave up land and some valuable minerals to the white people.

It was a tough life with no rights or say, a person has to do whatever he or she is told without refusal whether a person like it or not, whether sick or not, its was hush and un bearable, a life a person could live with out proper food or water or taking a shower, it is unbelievable how the greed of money and for riches deceived many white people into thinking that black people where not people at all, many white people who were in business  and those who had inspirations to become business people they  flown to Africa for a better economic boost mostly by ships.

A white person by that time was a valuable and feared person because of the capabilities they had shown to poor black people. As years went by black  people began to learn and speak the white people languages, this begun so because most black people were working on th white people’s premises or farms so there had to be some communication for a slave to understand instructions given to him. Good white Samaritans taught many black people a number of subjects, this happened in churches, schools and other places like at their homes. Some White Missionaries and church leaders also travelled to many various African places to spread the word  of god and at the same time some begun to open schools to teach many young black people to read and write, which was a good thing.

As many years role by evolution in thinking and education, many black people across the world became recognized. Many were educated in the countries where many of their ancestors who never felt the filling of freedom and to have many rights where enslaved, they came home to fight again for the freedom of their countries against some rulers who still had grab of their ancestral people, it was bad and bitter as many lives were lost in the struggle. This contributed hate ret by many black communities towards white people even after the liberation struggle even though not all white people were involved in the mass massacres and rebellious.

The thin line between  black people and white people is a very deadly one, all this due to the cychological history between the  two. In many countries it’s an  open secret meaning you can see it happening but you are not or can say about it because you will become the victim of the open secrete. Many leaders across the globe have been preaching heavly against racial discriminations but sometimes they even themselves do not practice what they preach because they are just the for the post or position they have been wheel chaired to. As there is no one who is perfect any person would do whatever they are asked to or whatever they had to do to keep those positions they have. For many of these facts many people do not get jobs because of race, most people get sentenced in jail unnecessary, put on death raw or life imprisonment, some people fail to achieve their goals because of race. It’s hard.

In many government in some countries many whites are not working for government not because they are not qualified or over qualified but smilingly they are not felt welcome or their applications are thrown away when they reach H.R departments, hate rate is cychologicaly still in many people. in the private sector where mainly whites are heavily armed  +and working for affects many black people to work for particularly in Africa.

Many white people in Africa are not comfortably settled as they are constantly watching what’s next for them when their particular government in the country they live in takes a decision, some government don’t even recognize or consider white poverty or unemployment these are just some of the  facts that have pushed many white people from voting when it’s time for elections.

Now what can be done with all this? It is the responsibility and duty of every nation or government to run reconciliation programs, government employment agencies or commissions should ensure a balance in employing all kinds of races or gender to strike a good balance.

WOMAN AND THE WORLD

Woman in governance perception

In many countries woman are regarded as the real bread winners of the families as the male counter species are regarded just as the head of the family or the commander in chief. In most developing nations by tradition man can marry as many woman as they wish, it is a symbol of wealth, power and should be respected. Woman’s rights are non the less not recognized in the marriage as they are the slaves to the man, they have to do whatever they are told by the man or else it’s a hush punishment that will affect her emotionally, mentally, physical or in any way.

Many of these woman are married at an early age its can be from nine years to whatever age for as long as they can bear children for their man or the heard oh the house. Most of it is based on poverty, poor government managements, population density, economic headships, culture, ethics and norms. The poor family would push their young daughter into marriage for the sake of hoping that their daughter will bring something for them in return or that the man is rich and the lobola might be high when they go for negotiations.

The daughter has no right to refuse to go or else she will be burned from the family or casted away from the family and they may say she is witched, the gods casted a spell on her and should be chased away from the family to go to the bush and no one should help her or else the person who will help her will he/her be casted a bad spell by the gods too and will have no lunch or his or her blessings will be taken by the gods. There are a number of unfounded reasons that the family will come up with for her to be married if she refuses she will be chased from her family to follow her husband

In many countries woman may have rights but in practice they don’t its just a hear say blab blab lblab blab a rights here and there, with big growing populations and the slums are also growing the employment issue becomes smaller getting a job is tough and hard. Often jobs that are found pay less than a U$1 per day or per week or per month, it just depend what kind or type of a job the person get, often these jobs are not guaranteed for a very long period of time the person can be fired at any time or told that there is no job any more so you must leave.

ONCE THE WOMAN IS IN MARRIAGE THERE IS NO WAY OUT, she will be in there until the husband does not like her or tell her to leave for whatever reasons. If the husband dies she will be inherited by other family members of the late husband just like a property and they have no rights to property of the diseased husband or any claim what so ever freedom of any kind, not even in her dreams. They are supposed to bear as many kids as the man wish, imagine in the U.S a woman can live without a kid or only one but in many slum countries or for example in Africa a woman can go up to fifteen or seventeen. This kind of bearing kids gives her too much back pain punishments but for her husband it is recognized as one of her duties in marriage. Often they are not allowed to refuse or talk back against their husbands or parents as it is recognized as a taboo.

When a woman only bears girls she will not be recognized and respected  as the other woman who has boys, this is given a reason that boys will grow up and feed the family but girls will just be the receivers and not the givers. So boys are given much priority than girls. In some other cultures, beliefs or norms the woman who only bears girls should be stoned or to be killed as they are a sign of a curse and bad luck. Girls are always considered weak and have no purpose apart for giving birth to kids, so boys are given priority and importance.

Some cultural or traditional stuff should be stopped when they are posing danger to our society, its for the best we don’t need to continue with them as they will lead us to know where but additional problems that will hurt and hamper our communities. An educated society is a better society as they will only focus on things that will positively lead them to a better life. In rural areas of any society is where most of the unwelcome practices are still being practiced and done in the end they stay the way they are and theycan’t move forward to the next level of livelihood.

Am glad many African countries most especially in the Southern Africa ladies are recognized as peoples with rights, they can work, talk on their behalf participate in their political part of their own choice and they are highly recognized as a success for a lady to hold or to be appointed in a bigger position like the current newly appointed African Union Chairperson. The appointment of her in office has given a bigger boost for African woman and a boost of recognition for woman worldwide.

Woman should be recognized for their role in the family they play, they are regarded as the back born of the family in many modern families, you will find that if there is no wife in the house absolutely things will not go according to how they are supposed to be, man will not survive without a woman in the house. Family wise woman are the glue to a family, they hold together the family.

BURNING OF LOBOLA

Woman should be respected equally they should respect themselves for them to earn respect they deserve in society. Should LOBOLA be dissolved and not recognized yes, its should be dissolved, WHY? LOBOLA is like selling a human being and it fuels poor families to get their young daughters full of dreams married to older man who will abuse them as they will repeatedly say they paid LOBOLA or many cattle to have them so mistakes have no room in their marriage.

LOBOLA is never good it should be labeled illegal, its an indirect way of selling young potential girls who have a bright future, who can doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers or be in any kind of profession of their choice. It limits the girls ability to have choices and to choose a life they really prefer.  It also reduces the country as a whole to function as a whole as people who are supposed to help are not there but they are locked up in houses of marriage that has no does of freedom.

LOBOLA is like buying love if you go in Southern Africa, the thing of forced marriage is over there out for a man to marry he has to pay an amount of lobola in a form of money or cattle or chickens or goats or sheep’s or any kind depending on agreements between families. LOBOLA was started long time in the 15 centuries, this was done so in the sense that for a father or his family to get something because the father raised her daughter, she is either well raised or the family is rich, she is either educated, or the family is poor, she is beautiful or the pain the daughter she will have to endear during labor it can be life threatening, it can be that she is a hard worker as she was raised. All these are the kinds of things that came into play and they are still considered during lobola negotiations.  Now because it took time and often costly in raising the daughter now the parents wants at list something as a token of appreciation or a payment that will compensate them on their burden. Children should be considered as a gift from god and how you will raise them it has no connection on how you want the person who will marry them to pay for them………….. LOBOLA also has some from for human trafficking to it but this one is within the families where the girls are raised and have no choice but to follow suit like it or not.

HOW CAN YOU SALE YOUR OWN DAUGHTER?

The world needs both man and woman to hold it together are a glue and to create a better society, a freedom society is necessary for everybody to proactively practice positivity and have better answers to a better society that everyone needs. They way we raise our kids is the answer to our future as we live, because a kid who is born among thieves will be a professional thief as things and technology changes, the technology of how to steal also changes on a one step feather than the technology itself.

The people who are voted in power positions should not live on the positions for luxury, people nowadays are hungry, they want food on the table for their families. Leaders must be warned that the world needs the better lives and the time for laziness sitting like a king is over, they will be booted out like what happened in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Syria. If they can’t deliver on what they promised during election campaigns then they have failed and they must be willingly step down as it supposed to be.

WOMAN AS MANAGERS

WOMAN ON TOP POSITIONS OR ON MANAGEMENT CADRE

Are woman really qualified for top management positions in any economy especially Africa? Well this is the type questions most of us should answer whether its true or not. In my case any person can qualify no matter the skin type, short , tall, black or white or whatever color you may have, or whether you are a man or a woman it just depend on what you have, skills, educational qualification, quality, talent just what ever you have to be the best.

When schooling in high schools in class you will find that there are a lot of different girls and boys who have the potential to be leaders, potential to be , managers, potential to be Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers or just any kind of profession. In life they are no failures, each individual was given a potential to be good in something one way or the other. Even though they have all these potentials all these genders, one gender is still dominating on all levels “man” but why is it so, is it not supposed to be like 50/50 issue as many governments are now pushing for it. Its by culture that man are better than woman but we have all seen companies that are managed by man falling apart woman reviving them for a better business environment.

Many governments have now put in they strategic plans that among their goals is to have woman an equal representative as their  male counterpart in their top strategic positions. This is a good sign of good governance but how will they achieve that? Will it be a true figure hundred percent 50/50 or it will just be a mere say that they have achieved the 50/50 percent of representations in government. On my side I say no it will never happen it will just be either one gender on top from a specific period of time and then the other takes over just like that but there shouldn’t be much wider margin between the two genders balancing figures.

There question still remains, HOW WILL THEY PUSH THE OTHER GENDER UP THERE FOR EQUALL REPRESENATTION? Because like for example in  my country when a position is to be filled it has to be placed in advertisement for every potential candidate who fill like competing for the post can compete by applying for the post. Now after all the applications have been received by the ministry or agent or office, they are sorted out to find the people who meet the minimum and potential requirements for interviews, then potential candidates are called for interviews to be interviewed.

In the interview process the interview panel mostly is a mixture of man  and woman and the people to be interviewed is a mixture of both genders but in end mostly on top positions are still man to be appointed or who come up top. How can these top positions be filled if the other gender in most cases they don’t come up top, does this mean we have to check the gender balance first and then choose a lady or a man based on the fact that in this certain organizations there are too many males or females, if this is the way forward then in the advertisements thy should be stating clearly that they only want this specific gender to apply so as to address the shortages of genders in specific areas or positions.

Woman who are working are brave they have a position name at work they are mother for those who are having kids, they are considered wives for those who are married, they are chefs at home for the family, they are sisters, they have a bigger role they play, cleaning of the house. even though they also need equal representation it will be unfair to give them jobs just like that at the expense of the other. We need to select individual who really can do and make a different in society for the better. All genders have the same capabilities and same successes and failures and good ideas..in Namibia the nation is still yet to make a female president and or a non Oshiwambo president so the world is waiting to see in the next presidential elections to replace the current president. If any of these happen history will take place in the lad of the brave
.
Africa is busy transforming itself for the better, we have seen long term serving presidents being removed from their positions, female presidents taking offices, major economic partnerships and agreements, up-liftment of infrastructures, economic and unemployment wars that many African nations are have started  to strive for a better living conditions for their people, it’s a huge and a big different and achievement so far. In all this  all genders are working together showing a sign of a better tomorrow if  the limited resources are used properly and to the best.

Many disabled individuals are now recognized of their ability to be part of the workforce, campaigns are now being raised for their recognition. Being disabled or have HIV/AIDS does not mean the person is useless and cannot be part of society. Disadvantaged people are now at the top of many government strategy to be considered for employment to have them included in society. In the spirit of national building one should appreciate
